What Is Google Adsense All About

Whether you have been blogging for 5 years or 5 months, it is not so easy to make money on Google Adsense. There have been times that I have made only 10 cents through Adsense and that too has taken me months. You need to have a lot of patience if you want to make Adsense work. Most people get frustrated quickly and give up easily on Adsense.  Adsense helps website owners and bloggers to make money through ads that are displayed on your web pages. At a time, Google will post three ads per page one on the top of the post, one at the end and one on the side bar.

Impressions: This is based on the number of page views and clicks per post

Clicks: This is based on the number of clicks on the ads.

For instance, you post something regarding heart attacks or heart disease and Google will display an ad of a heart surgeon or clinic on the post. If people search through google and arrive on your post, they will read it and if they want more information on heart diseases, they will click on the ad displayed on top of your post that amounts to a single click. Once you make more than $100, Google will send you a pay check or send the amount directly to your bank account.

So Who Is Eligible?

  1. If you are a blogger, use the monetise tab to install Adsense Account.
  2. If you host through self-hosted WordPress account, you can also install Adsense.
  3. If you use free WordPress, you cannot use Adsense. You need to host through Word Ads.

Some ads are worth more money per click. It depends on the level of your SEO effort and also word searches. Your post should solve someone’s problem. It has to be informative and help the reader so that it encourages him to know further by clicking on the ads.

Stay Away from Doing These

  1. Never ever click your own ads. You will get banned by Google if you do that. Remember, his daddy is watching you all the time and there is nowhere to hide.
  2. Avoid telling your friend and family members to click on the ads.
  3. Don’t use more than three ad blocks on a single page. It just increases the clutter on your page and can be troublesome.
  4. You should not rely singularly on Adsense to make money. You should also have other revenue streams in mind. The amount of money you make on Adsense will be a pittance. Remember, it is not a get-rich-quick scheme.
